I live and operate out the Six River National
Forest, Smith River National Recreation area. But also fish the
Klamath River area (below Iron Gate). I've fished Northern
California and share experience for over forty years, and cater to
the anglers needs ( with in reason), I also accommodate the equipped
fly fisherman, BUT will share my personal rods. All my gear is top
notch and well maintained, I recommend each person to be prepared
for weather from 10 degs above zero to mellow temps, insulated
rubber boots or waders and adequate clothing is a must. My Boat is a
2005 Fish-rite Guide model and is equipped with a heater, rain top
and bilge pump for the rainy days. I ask that you bring a lunch and
any snacks you desire ( a cooler 12" by 18' is about the largest
accepted on board, I only supply Water, but I will share my coffee.
I supply the bait and also support catch and release of wild
species, but all roe stays with the boat, unless you have your own,
and then half stays with the boat!
Most Days are eight hour days!, BUT, I will fish from morning till
nightfall, to see that you limit and or at the least enjoy your day,
as long as you know who the guide is. As everyone knows! We call it
fishing for a reason. I've seen days that limits are caught early,
or the catch and release has cause exhaustion from fun, but, most
days start early and end late, some heavy catch days and some light
days.
I mainly fish for Salmon and Steelhead locally (Smith River) but I
do travel a short distance for Cut throat Trout, Salmon and Steel
Head action ( Klamath River) as well as Rainbows, Brown and Cut-bow
trout on some of the surrounding lakes, streams and Rivers.
I carry a camera with video capabilities , following trip as soon
as time permits I will down load your pictures and email them two
you, or mail a DVD with the downloads. be patient, and have a valid
address.
The Smith river has a shows for Salmon," Mid October to early
January", Steelhead "December to late march"
Klamath River Below the Iron Gate Begins showing Salmon late
September thru November, with a good show of Steelhead Mid October
thru January and February. mostly all private access fishing. Real
good wild trout fishing from April thru November
Hat creek from April to November, "excellent Trout" Mostly on foot,
except Baum Lake! has cause for excessive catch days. This is an
excellent area for the beginner fly fisherperson.
Most all these areas Have a good selection of motels, camp
grounds, bed and breakfast and Restaurants to choose from, and will
help locate needed lodging.
These Rates are at a reduced rate to make a cushion for our
struggling economy.

Solo bookings are $250.00 per day. **
Klamath River Rates are $125.00 per seat* Double occupancy Solo
Bookings are $225.00 per day.**

Eastern area (Sacramento River, Redding area), Lake Shasta, Hat
creek and Pit river, call for prices as rates depend on days booked.

If you book and prepay a trip, and illness, weather
or natural disaster occurs! I will hold over the trip, even if I
have to contact another guide to accommodate you.
Cancellations a month in advance for full Deposit refund, if you
cancel less than a month in advance I will rebook the trip to the
next available date. If you Cancel less than a week, and I'm unable
to fill the opening, the deposit or prepayment will be forfeited,
If I fill the opening I will hold deposit for another date.
I require at least a Fifty % per trip, per day deposit for pre
reservations and remainder at the beginning of the fishing day.
*** I reserve the right, to discount!, place ashore or refuse
continued guide services to any person who willfully places any one
at risk, or becomes unruly or unlawful beyond control with out
force. Should any person want to consume Alcoholic beverages while
in the care of This Guide, He will be required to Sign a waiver. and
be required to wear flotation device (Supplied), All Junior
fisherman will be under the responsibility of their Guardian and a
waiver will be signed prior to departure, all Junior fisherman are
required to wear Flotation, NO exceptions! NO ILLEGAL DRUGS!
If any gear is damaged or lost due to mishandling by a Client or
their junior fisher person, I charge for replacement or repair to
the gear by the person or persons responsible for the occurrence.
